As a Frontend Web Developer, you will:
- Design and develop engaging web application interfaces for our customers
- Work with a team of backend developers to build and support your designs
- Test your own code and test the code of other developers during code reviews
- Commit and manage your work via version control
- Collaborate with other developers/stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
- Provide solutions to customer/stakeholder questions and problems that arise
- Provide leadership on design standards and processes for the project
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of UX and UI design concepts
- Focus on design alongside coding
- Patient, team player who works well on a team or independently
- Knowledge of modern web standards
- 1+ years of professional experience using React, Vue, Angular, or another component-based JavaScript framework
- 1+ years of experience with web frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation, or Material UI
- Strong working knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals
- Experience using the latest JavaScript standards ES6+ and features
- Experience consuming from and writing to web APIs using technologies like REST or GraphQL
- Experience working with UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
A few additional facts about this position:
- This role will be primarily focused on React web application development on an in-development project supported by a Python GraphQL API.
- We also use technologies like Docker, PostgreSQL, and Redis in local and cloud environments so being familiar with them is a major plus but not a requirement.
- This is primarily an in-house position. Remote work is an option after an initial probationary period.
